  • Care Assistant

Hours: 36 hours per week

Shift patterns involved: 8am – 2pm, 2pm – 8pm. 8am – 8pm and 8pm – 8am (to provide care 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year)

Rate of Pay: £9.15 – £9.35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Employment requirements: Fully registered online DBS, minimum NVQ 2 preferred

Duties & Responsibilities: To assist residents with all aspects of personal care including to rise, wash and dress. To assist with toileting, bathing and feeding. To assist with minor domestic duties such as washing, ironing and cleaning.  Complete regular checks on residents. To complete all mandatory paperwork regarding residents.

Shift patterns / hours involved: 3 days on 5 days off, 7.30 am to 5.00pm

Rate of Pay: £11.70 per hour

Employment requirements: You will hold a catering qualification or have experience in a similar role and hold a basic food hygiene certificate. You will require a fully registered online DBS as well.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be cooking and providing breakfasts, lunch and teas as well as snacks for our 25 residents. You will be responsible for upholding and maintaining our 5* Food Hygiene rating and for keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy. You will ensure the kitchen is cleared and cleaned at the end of each shift, maintaining essential paperwork and records and ensuring the weekly online food order is completed.

We are looking for someone with creative flair, good nutritional understanding, the ability to work unsupervised and a passion for baking where you will be able to show off your skills during our monthly High Tea afternoons, all combined with a personable approach and a genuine interest in our residents. Having your own transport is essential due to our rural location.
