If you are still not sure if we are the right company for you, why not take a look at the following staff testimonials:

“I have been at Aveley Lodge for just over three years now as a Care Assistant. My role can be varied as not only do I do care work but I also, at times, help out in the Kitchen. I have always loved my job role in the care industry. When I moved to Colchester a few years ago, people said to me I should go and work at Aveley Lodge because of its excellent reputation. I’m so pleased I got offered a job here! At times, the work can be very hard but I do love it. I enjoy interacting with my fellow work colleagues and with our lovely residents. I just enjoy helping people. If someone was considering a job at Aveley Lodge, I would say go for it! It’s a great team and everyone is friendly and supportive”

“I get on really well with the residents, they are all so lovely here. I feel honoured when I hear their stories about the things they have done or achieved in the past. I just love getting to know them as individuals. It is hard work, but you are well supported here at Aveley Lodge with plenty of opportunities to be creative. It’s a great team to work with and I also enjoy the opportunities we have at collaborating and working with members of the community as well. I love getting to meet lots of different and interesting people”.

“I have been here just over 6 months now as a Care Assistant. I love working here, it’s such a lovely place. The residents are wonderful, and the staff team and management are so supportive. There is lots of opportunities for growth as an individual. This is definitely one of the best places I have ever worked!”

“As a member of the catering team, I have to say, Aveley Lodge is a fantastic place to work. In my pervious line of work, I was lucky enough to visit many care homes and none compare to Aveley Lodge, it is an outstanding home. I’m always bowled over by the vast and varied activities offered here for the residents and how everyone is included whether you are a resident or a member of staff. As a member of staff I feel valued, listened to and I’m very well looked after. I feel supported and have lots of training opportunities. The staff team are great, there’s lots of banter and everyone gets on”.

“As a member of the Activities Team, my role is a busy, fast paced one. We work well as part of the overall team here and always help each other out. My days are very mixed, no two days are ever the same! The residents are all so unique and challenging in their own ways but Aveley Lodge is a very good care home compared to the other local care homes. I’m part of a lovely team here and I find the residents so rewarding. I love making a difference to their lives”.
