1. Introduction

This statement sets out the actions of Parmentercare LLP to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains.

This statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 January 2025 to 31^st December 2025.

Our organisation is absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

2. Organisational structure and supply chains

Parmentercare LLP are a provider of residential and dementia care services in Fingringhoe, Colchester and have been operating since 1989.

We had 1 care home in the UK at the start of the financial year being reported.

Aveley Lodge Care Home offers residential and dementia care in Essex. We offer award-winning care in luxurious surroundings and top-quality dining and nutrition.

We deliver person-centred care in beautiful surroundings, and we have our own sense of community.  Our homes are award-winning through design and the care given to our residents.  We provide excellent facilities and encourage our residents to live life to the full with like-minded people.

We’re committed to continuously improve our practices to safeguard against any form of modern slavery in our business and supply chains and to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Our supply chains include the procurement of agency labour, food and beverages, medical consumables, facilities maintenance, utilities and waste management.

3. Policies

Our internal policies and supplier contracts reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all of our business relationships.  Our policies and procedures are regularly monitored and reviewed.  Similar expectations around ethics and compliance are clearly communicated by Parmenter care LLP to our supply chain partners. When entering into formal arrangements with suppliers and when periodically reviewing supply chains, we continuously seek to detect any indicators of slavery or human trafficking.

4. Due Diligence

We continue to monitor suppliers in our supply chain and our Business Owners assess the information submitted by suppliers to identify and assess any potential risks.

We provide our employees with a level of awareness of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking during the induction process. Our employees are actively encouraged to identify and report any potential conflicts or breaches of our anti-slavery statement or our company values using our dedicated Whistleblowing policy.

5. Looking Ahead

Over the course of the next financial year we will continue to review our procedures to help us identify, prevent and mitigate any risks of modern slavery or human trafficking with new and existing suppliers along with due diligence on our key suppliers.

We will continue to monitor and investigate any whistleblowing cases team members report through our whistleblowing policy and procedure.
