Welcome to Aveley Lodge Care Home, a small, award-winning, family run care home in the rural village of Fingringhoe. We offer an excellent standard of residential, dementia, and respite care within a superb rural setting and we are currently rated “Good” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Aveley Lodge has been created to deliver comfort, convenience and compassionate care to all who reside at the home. We offer bespoke care to each of our residents, including dementia and palliative care. At Aveley Lodge, everybody is valued and respected as an individual.

We offer care for up to 28 residents, all with their own private bedrooms with ensuite facilities. We encourage every resident to bring along their own personal photos, possessions and favourite items to make their individual room feel more homely, familiar and welcoming.

Our care approach starts with a happy and motivated team of staff. Our experienced team includes the Business Owners, managers, senior carers, care staff, activities coordinators, housekeepers, chefs, and maintenance, and they’ve all been individually selected because they each demonstrate the shared values of our Home. The caring culture we all embrace at Aveley Lodge ensures that every interaction is meaningful.

Aveley Lodge Care Home is located in the picturesque village of Fingringhoe near the city of Colchester in Essex and predominantly serves the local area including Langenhoe, Layer-de-la-Haye, Rowhedge, Mersea Island, Wivenhoe as well as much further afield. We enjoy fantastic road connections to nearby towns and cities around Essex and Suffolk including Dedham, Ipswich, Chelmsford and London. Colchester also has two train stations for easier, wider connections as well.

Our modern bungalow means we are all one floor with no steps or lifts and our home provides a tranquil and beautiful environment where residents can feel instantly at home. We have outdoor facilities such as patio areas and gardens which attract an abundance of wildlife, with smooth and even pathways which are wheelchair friendly ensuring all our residents can enjoy a walk around the gardens. This is alongside welcoming indoor areas including community rooms and private bedrooms.
